Medication Management in Boynton Beach, FL - Freedom Now

The term "Medication Management" is not often heard on a hospital's Intensive Care Unit (ICU), but it is a significant component of overall health care delivery. Many people, in and out of the medical profession, consider the term "Medication Management" to be somewhat of a misnomer because it focuses on a particular form of health care, namely inpatient hospital care.

Inpatient hospital care, of course, requires the use of medications and other forms of care in order to maintain a patient's health. However, it is important to note that a patient can also receive comprehensive hospital care that includes services that are not specifically focused on providing medications.

Comprehensive care includes a variety of care options that focus on providing a broad range of health care services and support. One example of a broad category of comprehensive care services is the use of a patient's medications, which can range from simple medications to more complex therapies. This category of services can include all forms of hospital services, including inpatient rehabilitation and day care, as well as some outpatient services, such as counseling services.

The term "Medicated Care" is often used as an umbrella term, meaning that a patient can receive both outpatient and inpatient care. The exact definition of Medicated Care will vary from hospital to hospital and from patient to patient. However, a general definition of Medicated Care is a comprehensive approach that includes all aspects of health care. The focus of this comprehensive approach is to provide the patient with comprehensive medical services, while minimizing the impact on the patient's recovery and maintaining the patient's ability to function at a normal level.

The term "Clinical Care" is used more often to refer to the specific services provided to patients that are not focused on medications. However, it should be noted that clinical services are often designed with medications in mind, but may not be limited to the use of medications, or even provided for patients who are not suffering from a medical condition.

Comprehensive care can also include a variety of services that are not focused on medications, such as counseling services and respite care. These services may include activities that allow patients to interact with other patients, such as those who may not be in their hospital room, or may involve activities that allow the patient to maintain some independent living skills, such as those that are focused on physical rehabilitation.
